Taipei City Government held the “Let’s GO Taipei Consumption Giveaway Campaign” on March 30. Mayor Chiang Wan-an announced that in collaboration with the NT$6,000 cash handouts by the central government, the city government will organize a citywide raffle for people who make purchases at stores and restaurants in Taipei.

The mayor remarked that Taipei City Government introduced a number of economic stimulus campaign starting the beginning of 2023, including the CNY Street Bazaar, Taiwan Lantern Festival, and various flower season events. The campaigns hope to attract more people to visit Taipei and spend locally. It does not stop with visitors stopping by one or two tourist attractions, but rather encouraging them to try out different things – from restaurants to shops to bookstores at the various commercial district.
Between April 1 and May 31, visitors who spend NT$200 or more at any shop in Taipei will be eligible for a raffle. Simply keep your uniform invoice and register for the raffle system online. Winners will be selected on a weekly and monthly basis. In addition to the grand prize of NT$5 million cash, other gifts include iPhone, gold, smart appliance, car and more!
Chiang remarked that there are five major areas for deals and discounts, including performances, tourism, sports, and more. For example, the 17 district sports centers offer special deal for customers who purchase lessons/programs with NT$6,000 or more to receive additional services and merchandise for the money they spent!
With the upcoming Tomb Sweeping Festival Long Weekend starting on April 1, the mayor invites everyone to visit Taipei and stay for a few days, to experience the hospitality and the variety of fun and cultural activities the city has to offer.
