The Beitou LOHAS Festival introduces the public to community artisans who are specialized in various domains. The organizers also encourage participants to share their own unique stories related to Beitou District and how their experience relates to living a beautiful life. For more activity details, please visit the Facebook fan page of Beitou Public Assembly Hall.
For the festival, BTDO has joined hands with local partners and businesses to arrange the Professional Artisans series comprising 6 activity sessions. The program focuses on themes spanning friendly environment, sustainable resources, social safety, cultural resource reassignment, community medical care, and food and farming education.
Kicking-off with the Five-senses Workshop, the organizers invite instructors from Taipei National University of the Arts to guide students through hands-on sessions on lion dance and porcelain painting. Other lessons include creating nostalgic fragrances of old Beitou with perfumer Judy; making chocolate at Sheme House, one of the winners of the International Chocolate Awards; and enjoying the performance by members of Taiwan Yueqin Folk Music Association.
For visitors who are singles, the organizers are collaborating with the Radium Kagaya International Hotel to arrange a matchmaking event for those looking for romance. Of course, there will be two sessions of the Beitou Wall-less Museum Family Challenge at Beitou Park and Qixin Park on March 27 and April 17, respectively. Bring your kids to enjoy the plays presented by Apple Theater on these dates!
