Taiwan Literature Base is located on the east side of Taipei City Walls, and neighbors Qidong Street, downtown Taipei City’s only surviving section of the ancient path from the Qing dynasty. This winding street has witnessed the rise and fall of trade from the reign of Kangxi Emperor till now.

Taiwan Literature Base, formerly known as “Qidong Poetry Salon”, underwent a transformation in 2020. The Base has since expanded from No.25 and No.27, Section 2, Jinan Road to No.2 to No.10, Lane 53, Qidong Street, making it Taipei City’s largest and best-restored Japanese dormitory cluster.
