Introduction

At the intersection of Xichang Street and Guilin in Wanhua District, there is a monument to the former site of Bangka Ocean Gods Temple. In the past, Bangka relied on water transportation to grow into a prosperous commercial settlement. To bless the safety of navigation and water transportation, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, import and export businesspeople of Bangka established the Bangka Ocean Gods Temple, which people dedicated to Ta Yu's worship. Later, due to the aging and damage to the temple and the implementation of urban planning by the Japanese government, they demolished the Ocean Gods Temple, which moved into history.
