Family trip
A well organized layout and decoration for this museum here to express the history of aboriginal tribes in Taiwan. You can tell all the features of each tribe in every location. We are all immigrants from Mainland China in Taiwan. All introduction for tribes are in details. All information are useful and educational for parents and kids. A very good place for kids and friends to refresh the culture itself. Enjoy it. -

Rather disappointing
Imposing building outside, but only 3 floors are devoted to displays and exhibitions. Special exhibition not all that interesting. The regular exhibits on the 2nd floor has some (bi-lingual) information on all of the different native tribes, and an exhibition by artists in the basement. I suppose I have been expecting a museum of some sort and turns out it is more of a cultural center. -

Not Much Here
As the title suggests, there is not much here to see. To compensate, there is no admission charge, so one cannot really complain. We've been to more comprehensive museums on indigenous culture in Taipei. -

Good place to learn about the aborigine tribes
This building is located just by the roadside on the way to Hell Valley. There is no entrance fees charged and you only need to record your name and nationality in a book at the front reception near the entrance. You are free to explore the floors where the exhibits are shown. There are periodic guided tours but it is easy enough to explore on your own. You will find display of the tribes' costumes, arts, handicrafts and historical artifacts. There are also display on their way of life like cookeries, marriage ceremonies, tent and houses. Overall, its a good place to get an understanding of the tribes that live on this island. -

Museum for the Taiwanese Tribe
The Museum is located very near the Beitou Park just 2 minutes walk. It has a huge building. The entrance is spacious are adorned with various items that pay tribute to their unique culture of the tribe. We enjoyed the museum, we visited 3 floors and was amazed not only with the displays but with the respect that Taiwanese people is giving to their aborigines that are long gone. There no entrance fee and their reception even provided us with brochures about the attractions found in Beitou. This is really worth a visit specially for history buff and heritage lover.
