The wall-less Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) atop Mt. Guandu commands a panoramic view of the Guandu Plain. It is a complex of unique school buildings with red bricks, gray walls, black roof tiles and decorative lines that stretch along the mountain slope, where patches of grassland, meandering foot paths and a multitude of installation arts merge into a unique architectural style. Not only are the on-campus Paulaner or DAVINCI restaurants perfect for nightscape viewing, it also affords a fantastic view of every corner of the campus, from classrooms, art galleries to the auditorium. It showcases how arts are interwoven with everyday life. Also worth exploring are the decorative installation arts.

One of the most beautiful university campuses ever and the view from the mountain top is amazing!

It’s quite a hike but the walk up the mountain to the university is worth it. The living art exhibit on the mountain side of the water buffalo is like no other and totally unexpected. Everything about the campus and dorms is perfect . For those in the arts....this is the place to be.

There are lots of art crafts made by students. The views at the top of the university is very beautiful. There are very few tourists and it's very quiet and cozy to visit. We can take lots of fun photos in it. Highly recommend

Here for 3 weeks staying at the guest house that is very comfortable. The university is built on a very steep hill so walking around campus is tiring , good restaurant and cafes at very reasonable rates . The food is weighted and you pay for what you have on the plate at the canteen. There is a swimming pool open that us free to us staying on campus, and the views are fabulous from the top of the hill. There is a bakery and beer Haus if you ignore the uni entrance and continue up the raid for 200 metres - fabulous icecream too.

The view behind the General Education Building and Bell Tower was awesome. I visited the Da Vinci cafe and the view was spectacular. A coffee shop downstairs is less pricey. How to get there: Tamshui train (red line) and alight at Guandu stop. At the bus stop, take bus no. 35 (red). Bus frequency is every 40 mins e.g. 9am, 9.40am. However, it came at 9.15am. I do not understand the point of placing the bus schedule at the bus stop if it is SO irregular.
