The 23rd day of the 10th lunar month is the birthday of the Qingshan King for which the Bangka area holds a large worship ceremony in celebration. On the 20th and 21st day, the Qingshan King leads his generals on a night patrol. On the 22nd day a grand procession is held; the idolatrous procession attracts a large number of people and creates a bustling atmosphere every year. In terms of scale the festival is a grand religious event in Taipei and ranks in importance alongside the festival of Xiahai Chenghuang Temple in Dadaocheng and the patrol of Grand Emperor Baosheng, the three together called the three big temple festivals of Taipei City.
