The Shezi Daotou Wetland is an excellent location for viewing the confluence of the Keelung River and the Tamsui River and their entry into the sea. There is a magnificent river view, and Guandu Temple, Guandu Bridge, and Guanyinshan are within reach. On the left side of the platform is a dense mangrove wetland, which echoes the wetland of Guandu Nature Park on the other side. After the ebb tide, you can also see fiddler crabs poking their heads out of the wetland.

Dadaocheng was originally the residence of the Pingpu tribe. Due to intense fighting between the Tongan people who lived at Wanhua (Bangka), they moved to Dadaocheng and began building shops and houses along the Tamsui River. After the opening of Tamsui Customs Wharf, it became the busiest material distribution center in Taipei City.
