The Taipei Sightseeing Bus runs red and blue routes, passing through Taipei's famous attractions. It provides audio guides in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and other languages.
The National Palace Museum's collection of precious cultural relics is known as the "Treasure House of Chinese Culture." It's nearly 700,000 objects and encompasses 5,000 years of Chinese cultural history, making it a must-see for any visitor to Taiwan. The museum has two versions of the "Three Treasures of the Palace Museum." One is known to art academia as the "Three Treasures of the Palace Museum"—three monumental Northern Song Dynasty brush paintings in the style of stele. The other is a more folk version of the "Three Treasures of the Palace Museum": the jadeite cabbage with insects, the meat-shaped stone, and the Mao Gong Ding, because they resemble the folk snack "pickled cabbage with white meat hot pot."

The Xinbeitou Station is the only century-old railway station on the Tamsui Line, even in Taipei City. Made of a wooden structure, the carved brackets under the eaves, and the 3+1 combination dormer window produced in 1937 due to the station's expansion are significant features of the station building.

The Beitou Hot Spring Museum, formerly known as the "Beitou Public Bathhouse," enjoyed a reputation as far back as the Japanese era.
