▲Museum of Drinking Water
Located in the bustling Gongguan district, the Museum of Drinking Water is a unique park that blends history, education, and leisure. Designed in the style of a classical Greek temple, the museum itself is a charming historical landmark that tells the story of Taipei’s water supply development. Inside the park, you’ll find rich exhibits on water resources and environmental education programs. There’s also a specially designed “Water Garden” for families, making it a perfect spot to cool off and play during summer. Plus, the museum is near Treasure Hill Artist Village, allowing visitors to enjoy a cultural and creative walking route full of knowledge and fun.
▲The Red House
The Red House in Ximending is Taiwan’s first officially operated public market, made up of the Octagon Building and the Cross Building, with over a century of history. Its red-brick architecture is uniquely styled and has become a cultural landmark in Ximending. After evolving through different roles over the years, it has now transformed into a key hub for cultural and creative industries. On the first floor, you’ll find the Red House Teahouse and curated boutique shops, while the second floor houses a professional theater. The Cross Building’s “16 Studios” brings together a variety of creative brands. On weekends, a lively creative market takes place, where visitors can enjoy art, shop for unique items, and experience the vibrant cultural charm of Ximending.
▲Chifeng Street
Chifeng Street was once known as the “Blacksmith Street,” but has since transformed into a charming alleyway district full of artistic vibes. Its most unique feature is the blend of old and new scenery, with vintage photo studios, retro clothing shops, independent bookstores, and cozy cafés lining the streets. Whether you're hunting for quirky items, strolling leisurely through the alleys, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon tea, Chifeng Street has something for you. It’s the perfect spot to experience Taipei’s youthful creative energy and nostalgic atmosphere.
