MRT-HSR-Double Decker Combo Pack Available June 1

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) has teamed up with Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) for the first time to offer a new “MRT-HSR-Double Decker Joint Ticket” combo package! The ticket is available between June 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018.Each combo package includes: a roundtrip ticket on the HSR (from HSR Taipei Station to either HSR Taoyuan Station or any HSR stations further south), an MRT 48-hour Pass, and a voucher which can be exchanged for a double-decker day pass. Effectively, the combo pack ticket offers roughly a 25-percent discount on the HSR round trip tickets and a 37-percent discount on MRT and double decker tickets. Taking an individual travelling from Kaohsiung to Taipei (via the THSR) for example, he/she  will have to spend NT$3960 in total to purchase each ticket separately.

Buying the combo package (priced at NT$2,850) will save him/her NT$1,110! So the more you buy, the more you save!
The combo pack can be purchased using the ibon kiosks at 7-11 convenience stores. Simply follow the instructions given by the kiosk to complete the purchase process. After paying at the counter, you will receive a code for collecting your HSR ticket and proof of purchase for MRT/double decker tickets. The HSR ticket can be exchanged also via ibon, while the proof of purchase for MRT/double decker tickets can be used at the information desk at MRT Taipei Main Station, Nangang Station,Banqiao Station, or 11 other MRT stations to exchange for a 48-hour pass and a 1-day double decker pass.

For travelers from Central or South Taiwan, please schedule your expected MRT riding dates in advance, as the MRT/double decker tickets must be used within 3 days after the riding starting date . As for the HSR, the riding dates are limited to 1 day before to 2 days after the expected riding dates of the MRT/double decker tickets, over a total of 4 days .
