Headlined by female vocalist Waa Wei, the 2017 Exit Music Festival features an ensemble of pop singers, jazz musicians and bands for consecutive Saturdays in November (11/18 and 11/25) at the Sunshine Hall of Daan Park Station.
The event kicks off on November 18 at 2:00 pm with “POP – Popular Song”. Performers include female vocalist Waa Wei, new-generation singer Enno Cheng and the band Frandé. On November 25 the festival continues with “JAZZ – Jazz Music,” beginning at 6:00 pm. Titillating performances from renowned jazz musician Tammy Tang, the Uno Combo and the Vincent Hsu & Soy La Ley Afro-Cuban Jazz Band promise to give concertgoers a romantic, music-filled night.
Auxiliary events include a pop quiz that features great prizes, such as a roundtrip ticket between Taipei and Bangkok (courtesy of NokScoot Airline), NT$1,000 discount coupons for Keds canvas shoes and vouchers for the MATA Indigenous Culture Hotel in Taitung. Participants can also drop by the booths of NokScoot Airline, Keds and other brands to play interactive games, take pictures and register for exclusive discounts and limited edition souvenirs.
Jointly organized by TRTC and Cathay United Bank, the Exit Music Festival has showcased diverse musical performances each fall since 2008. Its purpose is to encourage commuters to find a brief moment in their busy lifestyles to pause and savor the richness of music, thereby turning the MRT into not only a transit tool but also a source of beauty in our lives.
