The Neihu District Office (NHDO) will be hosting the 2019 Neihu Culture and Arts Festival – In Celebration of Autumn Outdoor Concert from 09:00 to 18:00 on September 21, 2019 (Saturday) at the Sunshine Lawn of Dahu Park. The joint performance features groups from 14 schools in Neihu and 18 performing troupes, showcasing wind band, string chamber orchestra, chamber music, taiko, chorus, dance, martial arts, Taiwanese opera, recorder, sign language, guitar, and semaphore, etc. The diverse talents of Neihu students and the thriving cultural demeanor of the region are embodied in the scintillating performances.
The crisp, cool air of autumn makes the perfect season for family outings. Citizens are invited to attend the 2019 Neihu Culture and Arts Festival – In Celebration of Autumn Outdoor Concert in order to appreciate the picturesque landscape of Neihu and admire the exciting performance brought by a group of local children who are passionate about music, singing, and dancing.
The 2019 Neihu Culture and Arts Festival – In Celebration of Autumn Outdoor Concert offers a wide selection of exhilarating performances. For the morning session (09:00-12:00), a dynamic Musical Feast will be held, featuring Taipei Donghu Elementary School String Chamber Orchestra, Xinhu Elementary School Wind Band, Ming Hu Elementary School Wind Band, Neihu Elementary School Taiko Club and Chorus, Ming Hu Elementary School Chorus, Minghu Junior High School Male Choir, and Wenhu Elementary School Dance Club. Together, they will bring about performances such as Japanese animation Totoro compilations, Disney Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, classic songs like Tomorrow Will Be Better, Do Re Mi, the theme song of The Sound of Music, and others. The melodies reverberating through the air will imbue the delightful autumn morning with an exotic ambiance.
The afternoon session (15:00-18:00) consists of the exuberant Waltz of Happiness, featuring Bihu Elementary School Dance Troupe, Lihu Elementary School Kung Fu Club, Xihu Elementary School Children’s Taiwanese Opera Troupe, Nei-Hu Junior High School Recorder Band, Neihu High School Sign Language Club, Nei-Hu Vocational High School Scout Club and K-pop Dance Club, Lishan High School Guitar Club and Dance Club, and Saint Francis High School Chamber Music. Together, they will show performances such as sleeve dances, indigenous dancing, Chinese martial arts, Taiwanese opera Butterfly Lovers - Touring Xihu, Chen San & Wuniang - Yi-Chuan-Liu-San, recorder performance - The Ex-File 3 theme song Dignity, Simple Love acoustic guitar performance, KPOP dance, and others. The performances will instill passion in the autumn afternoon amid a lively vibe.
Neihu District Director Lin Ping-tsung indicated that the 2019 Neihu Culture and Arts Festival – In Celebration of Autumn Outdoor Concert is hosted by NHDO to expand the performance venue from indoors to outdoors, turning nature into a stage for the children in Neihu so that they can unleash their youthful exuberance without being hindered by space or distance.
