The press conference for the upcoming 2022 New Year’s Eve Countdown Party took place on at city hall on December 8.
The team members of Muyao 4 Super Playing and Lulu (Huang Lu Tzu-yin), who will be hosting the upcoming event, introduced the celebrities slated to appear on the stage, including Accusefive, Lala Hsu, Alin, and Quarterback. Commissioner Liu Yi-ting of the Department of Information and Tourism noted that the cast of this year’s Countdown Party is amazing, and all pandemic prevention are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable show. While there is no limit on the number of people admitted, the party venue will still be divided into different zones and visitors will be required to adhere to pandemic prevention guidelines. In addition to temperature-taking, attendees will need to undergo contact-tracing registration via TaipeiPASS or swipe their linked EasyCard at the gates. Eating and drinking are prohibited at the venue as well.
Muyao 4 Super Playing remarked that this is the first time for the group to host the New Year’s Eve Countdown Party. They will give it their best shot and treat the event as a full-scale concert. Lulu remarked that she has started rearranging her songs, which she plans to perform during the event’s opening.
Accusefive expressed their excitement for taking part in Taipei’s Countdown Party for the first time. They will take to the stage with Lala Hsu, while Alin will team up with the members of Quarterback for a joint session during the show. The last time Quarterback performed on the stage of Taipei’s Countdown Party was two decades ago.
The 2022 Taipei New Year’s Eve Countdown Party will be aired on EBC Channel starting at 7 PM on December 31 and lasting till 1 AM on New Year’s Day.
