With the subsiding of the pandemic and the approach of back-to-school for kids, to encourage the public to take the bus for trips and commute, the Department of Transportation joined hands with the Public Transportation Office and Taipei City Bus Joint Management Committee to organize the Taipei City Bus Raffle.
 
The event kicked off on July 1 and will last through October 31. Winners are determined weekly, bringing great prizes spanning Phillips multicooker to Switch video game console to restaurant vouchers. A lucky individual will also be chosen each month as the winner of a Dyson vacuum cleaner! There is a special lottery for those who takes over 40 rides monthly as well.
 
Currently, the raffle has attracted 67,272 users to register for the event. After six weeks into the raffle event, a total of 277 lucky individuals have already claimed their prizes. With only 12 weeks left to go, what are you waiting for?
 
To participate in the raffle, those interested can visit the official event website and fill out his or her basic information and the number of his or her EasyCard. For each ride (requires tapping the EasyCard at boarding and disembarking), the participant will receive one raffle opportunity. The more trips you make on the bus, the more chances you have to claim a prize!
