TRTC Joins Forces with Taoyuan Metro to Introduce New Joint Ticket

In light of a likely travel boom following the easing of border restrictions, the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) and Taoyuan Metro Corporation joined hands to offer travelers the “Taoyuan Airport MRT/Taipei Metro Joint Ticket.”

The Airport MRT/MRT Joint Ticket comes with a Taipei Metro 48-hour Pass (or Taipei Metro 72-hour Pass – depending on customer’s choice) and a roundtrip ticket for the Airport MRT.

To celebrate the release of the Joint Ticket, it will be available at a discounted price of NT$520 (or NT$600 for the version with 72-hour pass) between October 13 and November 12. The standard price of the Airport MRT/MRT Joint Ticket is NT$600 for the version with 48-hour pass, and NT$700 for the version with 72-hour pass. 

The travel passes offering unlimited travels with set duration have sold roughly 280,000 copies each year before the pandemic. Past statistics show that some of the favorite destinations for international travelers include Taipei 101, Yongkang Commercial District, Longshan Temple, Zhongshan Commercial District, Shilin Night Market, and Tamsui. These are all within short walking distance from stations along the MRT network. For those who plan the visit Taiwan in the near future, the Joint Ticket offered by TRTC and Taoyuan Metro Corporation is definitely worth the price.

The Airport MRT/MRT Joint Ticket can be purchased from the information booth at the following locations: AMRT A1 Taipei Railway Station; AMRT A12 Airport Terminal 1 Station; and AMRT A13 Airport Terminal 2 Station, as well as the Taoyuan Metro Corporation counters at the arrival area at Terminal 1 and 2 of the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. 

As a special bonus, the first 300 customers to purchase the Airport MRT/MRT Joint Ticket will receive a pandemic prevention goodies bag.
