A total of 1,112 companies will participate in the Show, including Giant, Merida, KMC, Maxxis, Kenda, SRAM, SHIMANO, and Accell Group, featuring complete bicycles, bicycle parts, bicycle accessories, complete e-bikes and e-bike parts, and occupying over 65,000 square meters in floor space. CONEBI (the Confederation of European Bicycle Industry), Business France and Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute will organize European, French and Japanese Pavilions respectively in the Show. Despite the effort by the Organizer, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), to maximize the use of all Hall spaces for exhibition, Spanish and Italian Pavilions regrettably cannot be accommodated this time, an indicator of the popularity of the Show in the global cycling industry.
A highlight of the Show in 2016 is the cooperation with the first-ever Velo-City Global to be held in Asia. City planners, engineers, researchers, environmental protection advocates, industry and government representatives from all over the world will gather in Taipei immediately preceding the Show, from February 27 through March 1. Winners of the 2016 TAIPEI CYCLE d&i (design and innovation) awards, organized jointly by TAITRA and TBA (Taiwan Bicycle Association) and implemented by iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd., will be on display in the Cycling Design Exhibition during the Conference. Under the theme “Riding from the Present to the Future”, bicycle product development trends from lightweight and durable materials, to user friendly designs, will turn from ideas into reality, generating momentum for the Show following the Conference.

Taipei Cycle Show draws international attention.Taiwan is well known around the world as “the Cycling Kingdom”. In addition to manufacturing high quality premium bicycles, in recent years Taiwan actively promotes bicycle-riding by building bike sharing schemes and bicycle lanes, and aims to become the Cycling Paradise. This goal is in congruence with the goal of Velo-City Global in promoting cycling lifestyle around the world. The successive staging of TAIPEI CYCLE and Velo-City Global in March 2016 fulfills the vision to join manufacturing strength with rider-friendly culture.
