Who says you can’t find a sea of flowers in Taipei City? According to the Taipei Hydraulic Engineering Office (HEO) of the Taipei City Government, a sea of spiny spiderflowers (Cleome spinosa) at the Guting Riverfront is already in full bloom, making this a great time to visit and take great photos. The River Management Section of the Taipei Hydraulic Engineering Office pointed out that more than 30,000 spiny spiderflowers are in full bloom at the square below the Taipei City Hakka Cultural Park cross-embankment platform at the Guting Riverfront. The spiny spiderflowers are not only fragrant, but also attract butterflies, and there are butterflies fluttering everywhere on the site, while the white and pink petals exude a romantic and colorful ambience. Being immersed in this "Floral Paradise" is like being in a heaven on earth, beautiful and soothing. The HEO reminds the public that this dreamy scene is limited to early spring, and the flowers are expected to be in full bloom until mid-May.

The sea of spiny spiderflowers is designed in concentric circles, and the beautiful scenery looks great in any angle. Due to the enthusiastic response from followers of the official Facebook fanpage, the HEO has launched a small campaign to give away limited-edition badges. From now until the end of April, upload your best shots according to the rules of the campaign and you will have a chance to get a manhole cover badge exclusive to the Hydraulic Engineering Office.
