The 2023 Taipei International Dragon Boat Championships will kick-off at the Dajia Riverside Park on June 22. Taking place through June 24, the event will feature dragon boat races and a carnival. Some of the activities include “egg-standing challenge,” “limited zongzi giveaway,” “happiness egg cos contest,” and “Butterlion + Coppu fan meeting.”

Anticipating a large turnout, traffic control measures will be in place for flood gate entry areas between 7 AM and 6 PM during the event period. At the same time, the measures will also affect both large and small vehicles in the parking areas of Dajia Riverside Park. Details are as follows:

Traffic Control Area:
  1. No. 7 Binjiang Street and Flood Gate 10 (located next to Lin An-tai Historical House) – compact vehicles are allowed to enter and leave from the gate.
  2. Flood Gate 9 – Checkpoint established to allow only entry and exit of authorized vehicles.
  3. Flood Gate 8 – Access for pedestrians and cyclists only.
  4. Checkpoints within Dajia Riverside Park – Follow on-site police officers’ instructions for vehicle entry/exit/parking

Adjustments to Bus Services with Stops near the Venue:
  1. The Dragon Boat Line (Route 132) operates between 8 AM and 6 PM and leaves from the tournament venue at Dajia Riverside Park for Yuanshan Bus Station. Service interval is 15-30 minutes, with flexible adjustments in response to actual crowd size. The bus charges a flat fee for single zone.
  2. During the event period, Route M9 will cancel the following stops: “Dajia Riverside Park,” “Watergate 8,” and “Watergate 9.”

Parking: During the event period, roadside parking in the surrounding parameters is strictly prohibited. Traffic police will strengthen parking enforcement. Visitors are encouraged to take public transportation to the venue.

For those who cannot visit the tournament, the third day of the competition will be streamed on EBC LIVE’s YouTube Channel.
