The 2023 Dadaocheng Summer Festival – the biggest summertime celebration in Taipei City – is taking place at Dadaocheng from today through August 20. In addition to the 180-second firework show slated every Wednesday night, city hall has also decorated the riverside area and streets in the neighborhood with illumination and artworks.
In the meantime, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) collaborated with over one hundred hotels and accommodation to offer visitors bargains on stays during the event, as well as bonuses ranging from complimentary night cruise along the river to vouchers for dining at the riverside Cargo Market.
Examples of such deals include the 2D1N “Riverside Dadaocheng” package available from Palais de Chine Hotel starting at NT$5,700, which includes breakfast buffet and NT$1,000 voucher usable at the Dadaocheng Cargo Market. Regent Taipei’s “Regent Fireworks and Riverside Tour Vacation” deal comes with a complimentary nighttime river cruise for customers at prices starting at NT$7,800.
Hotel Royal-nikko Taipei introduced the “Taipei Royal-nikko Dadaocheng Leisure Tour” starting at NT$5,300, which includes a goodie bundle with a scratch art sheets, a City God Temple charm, and two vouchers usable at local stores. As for Courtyard by Marriott Taipei, the hotel’s “Dadaocheng Summer Festival” package starting at NT$6,799 comes with two vouchers for a 50-to-60-minute tour of the river and breakfast buffet, as well as appetizers and 2 cans of beer at the Lounge. Available starting mid-July, Grand Hyatt Taipei’s “Hyatt – Play Taipei” deal offers breakfast, a treasure hunt map, limited edition Grand Hyatt EasyCard, and more.
