The Wan-an No. 46 Air Raid Drill will take place between 1:30 PM and 2 PM on Monday, July 24.

During this period, the MRT system will continue to operate. However, riders should remain inside the MRT station upon disembarking from the train and follow the directions from station staff in seeking shelter.
Meanwhile, all amusement attractions at Taipei Children’s Amusement Park (TCAP) will suspend operation during the period of the air raid exercise, and customers will need to follow staff instructions and take shelter accordingly.
As for Maokong Gondola, the drill is expected to have minimal impact on passengers, since Monday is the day when the cable car system undergoes scheduled maintenance and is closed to the public.
Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) reminds the public that violation of air raid drill guidelines may result in fines between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000 in accordance with Article 25 of the Civil Defense Act.
The company pointed out that during the drill, passengers taking the MRT should follow the instructions from station staff members after disembarking and seek shelter at the train platform or the concourse level inside the station. The train broadcast will also remind passengers not to loiter at the train doors or station gates.
As for shops inside MRT station, metro malls, or Taipei Arena, all lights will be turned off and windows/doors shut. An “exit only” measure will be implemented for MRT station transfer parking lots, TCAP parking lot, and Taipei Arena parking lot during this period as well.
For more information, please call the 24-hour customer hotline of TRTC (TEL: 02-218-12345) or the 1999 Citizens’ Hotline. Details are also available on the company’s Chinese website ([Link]).
