The "World Masters Games 2025 Taipei & New Taipei City" will take place from May 17th to May 30th, 2025! To allow participants to not only compete but also enjoy the best of northern Taiwan with exclusive discounts, the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism is offering a limited release of 3,000 self-purchase "WMG2025 FunPASS" The pass includes tickets to 20 popular attractions and unique experiences in the cities hosting the event venues. Pass holders can choose 3 attractions or experiences. Limited pre-orders will open on September 18th at 10 AM—act fast!
The Department of Information and Tourism introduced the "WMG2025 FunPASS," which features a design incorporating the event's mascot, "Strong." The mascot is inspired by the character "北" (north), symbolizing the two host cities, Taipei and New Taipei. Its energetic and adorable appearance makes the pass a great collectible for participants and their accompanying friends and family. Additionally, the card functions as a transportation card. After reloading, it can be used for public transportation and small purchases at convenience stores, supermarkets, and other merchants, making it both practical and convenient.The Department of Information and Tourism further stated that, to encourage registration, a special commemorative version of the "WMG2025 FunPASS" will be given to the first 3,000 registered and paid foreign participants. This will allow them to fully explore during the event. For those who do not receive the commemorative version, the Taipei FunPASS official website will also offer a limited pre-sale of 3,000 self-purchase passes for NT$1,220. The pass will be valid from May 1 to June 15, 2025, and covers 20 popular attractions and unique experiences across Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu County and City, Keelung, and Yilan. Pass holders can choose any 3 attractions or experiences, allowing them to plan a personalized mini-trip and fully enjoy the unique sights and culinary culture of northern Taiwan, while also collecting a highly commemorative card.
