To expand the Thai tourism market, Taipei City joined New Taipei City, Keelung City, and Taoyuan City in traveling to Bangkok, Thailand, on July 2 to host the "2026 Northern Taiwan Four Cities Tourism Promotion in Thailand." Through a tourism showcase and press conference, the four cities introduced Northern Taiwan's urban character, harbor scenery, natural landscapes, and diverse cultures to Thai media, travel trade professionals, and tourism industry representatives. A limited-time interactive pop-up installation and advertisements on 20 Northern Taiwan four-city-themed tuk-tuks were also featured to deepen local residents' impressions of Northern Taiwan.

The showcase drew more than 60 Thai travel trade professionals and over 40 tourism operators from the four cities of Northern Taiwan. In addition to introducing their signature attractions, the four cities recommended a range of festivals and events for the second half of the year, including city celebrations, cultural experiences, and limited-time seasonal activities. Thai travel influencers Ratto and Mim Like This also shared their experiences visiting the four cities of Northern Taiwan, highlighting local cuisine, city walks, natural landscapes, and featured activities.

The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government noted that Northern Taiwan's convenient transportation makes it an important starting point for travelers exploring Taiwan. Taipei combines history and culture with the character of a modern city, with attractions such as Dadaocheng, Longshan Temple, Taipei 101, and Xinyi Shopping District, as well as night market snacks and diverse cuisine. In summer, visitors can join the Dadaocheng Summer Festival to enjoy fireworks; in winter, they can head to Beitou for hot springs. Travelers who enjoy shopping can also visit Taipei 101, Taipei Dome, and Eastern District.
