Ji-fan 喫飯食堂

Anchor point
No. 5, Lane 8, Yongkang St., Da'an Dist., Taipei City Taiwan, R.O.C

It mainly serves traditional Taiwanese popular dishes. The rice mixed with pork oil has a memorable smell because of using high quality oil. In addition, the uncommon Yilan ancient braised pork and fry pork liver are greatly recomended.

This is highly disappointing - eat anywhere else

Taiwanese food is one of my favorite cuisine, but this restaurant does it no justice. There were seven of us and we ordered almost everything on the menu but nothing was impressive. Even very flavorful dishes such as three cup mushroom and salt and pepper shrimp were very bland. You could get better braised pork rice on any other street corner. We will never return. There are much better restaurants around the same area.

    Featuring local cuisine

This is a restaurant that features local cuisines. We had a group gathering and ordered at least 10 dishes for the table. There was so much delicious food that we hardly finished all. This restaurant was very crowded due to its value. Other than delivering food to the table, there were not much services, except that they gave us pots of water and tea. Although the food was good, it was not prepared with nice presentations. I would not call it cheap eats but a restaurant with very good value.

Tasty dishes from Yilan (eastern part of Taiwan)

This restaurant has become more expensive these days after becoming famous. The food is still very good though. During meal times, there is often a waiting line to enter.

    Excellent Taiwanese food

This restaurant was very authentic and the food is well prepared. The noodles in oil were great. I especially enjoyed the ribs and the pineapple shrimp. Every dish was well done— not too oily and not too salty

    A must try place

I came here by myself on a rainy day, there is a short line but not too bad. The lady in the front immediately took my order when I was waiting . She also recommended a dish for me . The thing I really like is, they offered small portion which is super nice for solo diner . She even offered me a personal sized soup which is really considerate. The other thing I really appreciate here is, there are small tables ( for 1-2 ppl) and medium tables (4 ppl), I waited for 5 Min when another small table seems finished his meal , but he did not seem want to leave . The owner then put me on the next available medium table instead of let me keep waiting. I ended up ordering the pan fried pork liver , a stir fried local vegetable , and a small fish ball soup. I also had the rice with port butter. All are so tasty and I finished all ! The pan fried pork liver , I had never had such tender pork liver, it taste not greasy at all! The vegetable is stir fried with some bean and mushrooms. And it only cost me 380 local dollar ! I will go back if I get a chance
