- No. 19, Lane 61, Linsen South Rd., Zhongzheng Dist., Taipei City Taiwan, R.O.C
This authentic Shandong restaurant that resembles a scene from Kung Fu movies is known for gigantic, sumptuously stuffed dumplings. For the past three decades, it has been frequented by people living around the National Theater and Linsen South Road, including political and business heavyweights.
Among Dragon Inn’s best sellers, the unforgettable pork dumplings are crispy cabbage and pork smoothly wrapped in handmade dough and dressed with sesame oil; the half-tendon, half-meat, pleasantly salty beef noodles combine braised broth, handmade noodles and beef that is never too mushy; the crispy garlic patties are thin, deep-fried ribs covered in yam powder. In addition to its unostentatiously tasty Egg Drop Soup, Dragon Inn’s side dishes: stewed pork/beef offal, among others, are simply unparalleled, especially when served along with beer.

Why not?Probably should be really named Dragon Gate Inn Dumping House. This place used to be the place for university students and young professionals. It is now a legend in Taipei if you like dumplings and a true Chinese eating atmosphere. Just order pork dumplings and do not need to be bothered by other items in the menu list. Order your flavored appetizers with decisive gesture to show your belief in the quality of the food, because you should. No reservation and first come first serve. The wait will be rewarded with the wonderful dumplings. I like the old place where you sat outside and can see the clock tower. But I can definitely settle with the current setting as long as the food quality remains.
Juicy big dumplingBought to this small little eatery by my Taiwanese friend which he mention is very famous. From the queue and crowd, which include both local and foreigner can know the restaurant is good. We have ordered dumpling and soup to go with it. The serving is quite fast, even though there is so many people. The attitude of the waiter isn't so friendly and the shop is a bit dirty, but that doesn't stop the crowd from enjoying the food. Highly recommended to go.
Dragon Inn_Yummy boilded dumplings with killer appetizersI really like their boiled dumplings, fresh and fast services. Always crowded, even way pass dinner hours. If you want to eat their appetizers, such as braised seaweed, stewed meat/eggs/peanuts and chicken, you better go around dinner time because the good stuffs gets sold out fast. Boiled dumplings go really well with hot soup, we usually ordered the beef soup with vegetables and eggs. Too bad they don't have my favorite hot and sour soup. It's not a fancy place to eat, it's rather traditional and old fashion. Don't be afraid to order even if they are extremely busy, just look for seats, order and enjoy.
