Established in 1988, KLE was a small stall selling steamed meat buns by Taipei City Hospital-Zhongxiao Branch before the bakery was opened in a small alley near Kunyang Station. After studying bakery goods for two to three years, KLE decided to enter the business. With sensible taste and a pair of skilful hands, KLE tried foods everywhere and finally developed the unique flavor of KLE. From egg tarts, pineapple cakes, sweetheart cakes, mung bean cakes to all kinds of Chinese pastries, every type is personally developed by KLE.

Over the past twenty years or so, customers have been coming in constant streams to this humble store without even advertising. It attracts word of mouth attention because of KLE’s uncompromised choice of ingredients and the care for the health of customers.
