“Little Forest" is a creative project that Chong-Xiao has been contemplating in recent years. During this time, Chong-Xiao has been continuously exploring various painting techniques related to forests. He started by studying the works of contemporary masters and well-known historical painters, such as Constable, the representative of British landscape painting, and Corot, a renowned painter from the Barbizon school in France.
Later, Chong-Xiao immersed himself in nature, going hiking and marvelling at the grandeur of the vast forests, captivated by the charm of nature. This fascination led Chong-Xiao to conceive the idea of bringing the forest into the exhibition through large-scale artworks. Small animals have been incorporated to enhance the visual appeal and playfulness of the artwork, with the hope that the audience will enjoy the forest experience alongside Chong-Xiao’s "Little Fat Boy".
