MRT Shilin Station → Shilin Official Residence → Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake and Pastry → Shilin Tourist Night Market
The Shilin Official Residence, former residence of Chiang Kai-Shek and his wife Soong Mei-Ling, provides tourists with a glimpse into Chiang Kai- Shek's home life and historical events, and also serves as a pleasant green destination for Taipei residents taking weekend and holiday Trips. Wenlin Road was once the Shilin District's old street, and was known for its many traditional cake and pastry shops. The original Taipei's famous Kuo Yuan Ye pastry store was here, but is now the Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake and Pastry. The final stop is the Shilin Tourist Night Market, where you can sate your appetite with delicious foods such as chicken cutlets and "small bun wrapped in big bun."
Transportation: Take the MRT Tamsui-Xinyi Line to Shilin Station, and then take exit 2 and walk toward Fulin Road.
