2017 Taipei Market Festival

Entering its tenth year, the 2017 Taipei Market Festival will take place at Taipei Expo Park over the weekend of April 8 through 9. Many top booths and vendors from traditional markets across Taipei City will be taking part in this annual event.

Activities
No. 1 Market Booth: The organizers invited well-known vendors from traditional markets in Taipei to this event, allowing visitors to try out local delicacies through this one-stop visit.

Grocery Zone: In addition to fresh food ingredients, traditional markets also offer customers merchandise ranging from clothing, jewelry, to leather goods. This section will allow visitor to experience a different aspect of traditional markets.

Traditional Cuisine Zone: Hidden within the numerous markets across Taipei, there are cuisines that many people know about, as well as ones which only few people know about. The organizers invited food vendors to set up shop, offering a large selection of entrees and dishes to tantalize the taste buds of visitors.

Classical Braised Meat Zone: The organizers invited vendors offering Braised Pork Rice Bowl at the 2017 Taipei Market Festival to showcase their cooking skills during the event. This is a great place for visitors to enjoy the traditional flavors of braised pork rice bowls from across the city!

Discounts and Bargains
NT$100 Vouchers: Now Ten-percent off! Visitors can purchase 100NT vouchers with 10-percent discount during the event. Each individual can purchase a maximum of 10 vouchers.

Environment-Friendly Wares for Exchange: Individuals who bring Melamine utensils for recycle at the information desk during the event will receive a set of Type 304 stainless steel reusable utensils in exchange! Only a limited supply of 1,200 sets is available, so act fast!

Try Your Luck with Lucky Bags! The organizers offer a number of <i>fukubukuro</i> (lucky bags) during the event. This is your chance to acquire some of the most coveted merchandise or cuisine for as low as NT$10!

Hourly Discovery – Find the Market Baby: Taking place every hour in the afternoon during the Taipei Market Festival, visitors who are able to find the mascot “Market Baby” at the venue and upload a photo to their FB account will receive a souvenir (only while supplies last)!

Vendor Self-Promotion: Selected vendors will have a chance to introduce their merchandise on stage or offer preferential deals on their products.

• Workshops will take place at the DIY Zone. Preregistration at the website is required.
• Bring your smart phone and SMS confirmation message to the DIY Zone no later than 10 minutes before class to report attendance.
• Individuals who fail to show up 10 minutes after class starts will forfeit their placement. There will be no wait-listing at the site on the day of the event.
