    Excellent recommendation by a friend

We had lunch here as a friend brought us to try this restaurant. It's been around for a long time. The building is quaint and homey. But don't let the old look fool you- the food is excellent! Our friend took care of ordering and she got it right! Servings are meant for sharing so we were able to try a wide array of dishes. Pricing is bordering on the pricey side but the quality of the food makes up for it. Try it!

    They Don't Accept 1000HKD Bill

Food is so-so, waitresses are rather rude as compared to other restaurants. Afterall, the worst part, the restaurant doesn't accept Hongkong legal tender bill of 1000HKD. Very funny, what if I only have 1000HKD bills in my wallet? Shouldn't the legal tender be allowed everywhere in the country?

Great Taiwanese light foods with 100-year history

Tu Hsiao Yueh has been a long-standing restaurant starting from a noodle stand in Tainan. Our family went there yesterday and there was a long queue. We lined up for about 20 minutes and got seated in. The waitress was very friendly and efficient and offered us a spacey table to make us comfortable with seating and also placing our shopping bags. In addition to the classic noodles/rice noodles and minced pork rice, dishes are also good. We recommend Chinese sausage, squid balls, shrimp rolls and egg tofu. It is a great place to taste local Taiwanese foods. Yummy!
