There are numerous exotic specialty foods, uniquely styled cafes, and stylish stores lying in the narrow alleys of the Yongkang Shopping District. The rich cultural ambiance has gradually shaped the distinctive charm of Yongkang Shopping District. Nearby, Rongjin Gorgeous Time, formerly the wooden staff dormitory of the Taipei prison, was one of the largest modernized prisons in Taiwan. Today, this old house has been restored and repurposed, granting this historic building a second life. It now serves as a space that connects people, objects, and the shared experiences of inheritance, becoming one of the cherished places that illuminate Da'an District.

In the alleys of Yongkang, Qingtian, and Longquan streets, you can find numerous former professor residences from the Japanese colonial period. Alongside old trees, historic houses, and vintage photographs, nostalgic architecture such as Qingtian 76 and Hehe Qing Tian have cultivated a rich cultural and artistic atmosphere in the area. Adjacent to National Taiwan University and National Taiwan Normal University is the Wenluoding district(formed by Wenzhou Street, Roosevelt Road, and Tingzhou Road). This area features the highest density of Chinese-language bookstores in the world: Within a radius of just 1 km, there are nearly 40 bookstores, creating a unique cultural landscape in this neighborhood.

If you are fond of Hakka culture, you must not miss "Taipei City Hakka Cultural Park" situated at the prime intersection of Tingzhou Road and Shida Road in Taipei City. The park is designed around six core themes – culture, ecology, education, technology, industry, and farmyard fun – creating a water-friendly civic park that embodies the characteristics of a Hakka village. In the evening, you can visit the vibrant Gongguan Shopping District near National Taiwan University (NTU) to shop and enjoy local delicacies. The area features Bib Gourmand-recommended Lan Chia Guabao and Si Shen Soup (steamed pork buns and four-herbs soup), and Hsiung Chi Scallion Pancake, all are affordable night market delights cherished by students and locals alike.
