Half-day tour for European transit and transfer passengers plus a free sightseeing bus ticket from TPEDOIT

The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications restarted the “Half-day Tour in Taiwan for Transit and Transfer Passengers” activity on May 1. The activity offers transit and transfer passengers, who have 7- to 24-hour layovers before their next connecting flight and who have a valid R.O.C. visas or come from countries eligible for visa-exempt entry, a half-day tour in Taiwan. The online registration of this activity begins on May 1. The Department of Information and Tourism of the Taipei City Government (TPEDOIT) stated that the “UNDISCOVERED TAIPEI” project launched earlier also offer European passengers with 15- to 72-hour layovers a Taipei Sightseeing Bus (Taipei double-decker sightseeing bus) ticket, allowing them to enjoy the famous landmarks of Taipei and fall in love with Taipei from the perspective of sightseeing bus.

Regarding the ticket collecting method, TPEDOIT explained that European passengers can check the opening hours of the Discovery Center of Taipei and collect the 4-hour double-decker sightseeing bus ticket at the Center with their passport and boarding pass or e-ticket (for information about the opening hours, please refer to the official website of the Discovery Center of Taipei at

TPEDOIT further stated that, in addition to European passenger, international independent travelers staying at a designated hotel and cruise passengers can also receive a 4-hour double-decker sightseeing bus ticket, enabling passengers and travelers from all countries to fully experience the charm of Taipei and enjoy the cityscape of Taipei from a different perspective. TPEDOIT also welcomes passengers and travelers to visit Discovery Center of Taipei to better understand the city of Taipei and even make a reservation for clothes changing experience activity, which allows them to leave a beautiful memory wearing vintage Qipao (Cheongsam) and Hanfu (Han-style clothing).
